Xiomara "Xio" " Chupitos" Vargas, a tiny whirlwind of joy and laughter, danced her way into the heavens on February 2, 2024, at just over a year old. Born on October 12, 2022, in Edinburg, Texas, Xio became the youngest and undoubtedly the most charming member of the Vargas family, leaving a trail of giggles and memories in her wake.

Xio was the beloved daughter of Maria Luisa and Ricardo Vargas, who are convinced she learned to dance before she could walk. Her siblings Myrna Isabel, Ricardo Jr., Estrella, Alexa, Angel, Verenisse, Gabriel, and Gabriela often found themselves wrapped around her little finger, as she led the household's daily parade of fun and mischief. Xio's grandparents, Isabel Vargas, Bernardo Elizondo, and Mirna Elizondo, along with a host of aunts and uncles, were her adoring fans, each competing for the title of her favorite by showering her with love and laughter. Her loving god parents, Gamael Villarreal and Melba Rodriguez, her cousin Faustino Alaniz and her Tia-Grandma Eva Alaniz. 

In her brief but vibrant life, Xio never met a toy she didn't like, but her toy horse held a special place in her heart. It was her trusty steed in her many living room adventures, galloping alongside her as she wrangled her stuffed animals and herded her siblings. Her nieces and nephews were her loyal playmates, and together they formed a band of merry pranksters, turning every family gathering into an impromptu comedy show.

Xio was the embodiment of love, kindness, and humor. She had the rare gift of making everyone forget their troubles with just a giggle or a funny face. Her laughter was infectious, her spirit was kind, and her ability to pull a funny face was second to none. She was a natural-born comedian, keeping her family in stitches with her antics and ensuring that her time with them, though short, was filled with happiness.

Xiomara Vargas may have been small, but her impact was colossal. Her family will forever cherish the joy she brought into their lives. As they say in showbiz, "Leave them laughing," and that's precisely what Xio did. Her curtain call came far too soon, but she exited the stage of life to a standing ovation, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will echo through the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations in Edinburg, Texas. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Nacida el 12 de octubre de 2022 en Edinburg, Texas, Xio se convirtió en la miembro más joven y sin duda la más encantadora de la familia Vargas, dejando un rastro de risas y recuerdos a su paso.

Xio era la querida hija de María Luisa y Ricardo Vargas, quienes están convencidos de que ella aprendió a bailar antes que a caminar. Xio era la encarnación del amor, la bondad y el humor. Tenía el raro don de hacer que todos olvidaran sus problemas con solo una risa o una cara graciosa. Su risa era contagiosa, su espíritu amable y su capacidad para poner una cara graciosa era insuperable. Era una comediante nata, mantenía a su familia en problemas con sus travesuras y se aseguraba de que su tiempo con ellos, aunque breve, estuviera lleno de felicidad.

Puede que Xiomara Vargas fuera pequeña, pero su impacto fue colosal. Su familia siempre apreciará la alegría que ella trajo a sus vidas. Como dicen en el mundo del espectáculo, “Déjalos riendo”, y eso es precisamente lo que hizo Xio. Su llamada al telón llegó demasiado pronto, pero salió del escenario de la vida con una gran ovación, dejando atrás un legado de amor y risas que resonará en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron.
