Teresa "Teri" Vasquez Obituary

Teresa "Teri" Vasquez, a beacon of warmth and generosity, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, in McAllen, Texas, completing a beautiful journey that began on February 26, 1973, in Weslaco, Texas. Her loving spirit and radiant energy will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Teri grew up in a vibrant household brimming with love and laughter, shared with her parents, Benigno Peña  and Petra Treviño , and a close-knit group of siblings, Belinda Flores, Ester Susana Peña, Orlando Peña, Angel Peña, Adan Peña,  Juan Carlos Peña and +Fernando Peña. Each of them cherished Teri as the family's shining star, whose thoughtful nature brought comfort and joy to their lives.

Blessings flourished in Teri's personal life when she married her soulmate, Armando Vasquez. Together, they nurtured a family graced with three wonderful children, Michael Cardona, Samantha Vasquez, and Joshua Vasquez. Teri took immense pride in the footsteps of her family, guiding and inspiring her children with an unconditional love that only a devoted mother could possess.

Teri's professional life was marked by dedication and camaraderie at L and G Engineering in Mission, Texas. As a valued team member, her contributions could only be rivaled by the positive influence of her character.

Teri found solace and enjoyment in crafting, creating pieces that spoke volumes of her meticulous and artistic soul. Her commitment to health was apparent in her fondness for exercise, while her sense of fashion was encapsulated in a cherished collection of Louis Vuitton purses. Music held a special place in Teri's heart, particularly the iconic anthems of Prince. Teri relished simple delights, like the crunch of peanut M&M's and the refreshing fizz of Dr Pepper, which provided sweet reprieve in her industrious days.

Teri Vasquez lived a life characterized by the love she gave and the joy she shared. Friends and family remember her as a loving individual who opened her heart and home with liberality and kindness. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her thoughtful nature made her a cherished confidante and friend.

As we gather to reflect upon and celebrate Teri's remarkable life, her enduring legacy is felt in the vibrant lives of her family, the impact of her professional undertakings, and the countless relationships fortified by her gracious spirit. Though her absence leaves an unfillable void, the love and reminiscences she imparted throughout her 52 years will continue to comfort and guide those she leaves behind.

It is with tremendous love and deep reverence that we bid farewell to Teri, who, even in parting, continues to enrich our lives with memories of her enduring light and love.
