Rodolfo Torres Jr., affectionately known as Rodo to his friends and family, passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on May 20, 1970, Rodo was a man whose presence was characterized by an enduring warmth and a distinctive sense of humor that brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son, a protective brother, and a doting grandfather whose legacy of love and generosity will live on.
Rodo is survived by his beloved wife, Greselda Quintanilla; his parents, Rodolfo Torres Sr. and Maria Guadalupe Sauseda Torres; his sons, Torivio Gallegos (Keri Gallegos), Rodolfo Torres III (Valerie Juarez), and Eli Torres (Yensi Torres); his daughters, Valerie Renee Torres (Smiley Luna), Samantha Jean Torres (Jose Garcia Jr), Gabriella Monique Torres, and Sophia Victoria Torres. He was a proud grandfather to Karime Itzel, Azlea Yaneli, Eliana Amarilis, Leilani, Liliana, Rodolfo IV, Ruth, and Lucy. Rodo's life was further enriched by the love and companionship of his siblings, the late Samuel Torres and Nicador Torres, Eloisa Reyes (Martin Reyes), Jesus Javier Torres (Ana Torres), Hector Torres (Norma Torres), Ramiro Torres, Maricela Aldava (Mario Aldava), Pedro Torres (Norma Torres), and Saida Torres (Ivan Torres), along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday. June 12, 2024 at Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations 1300 N. I-69C Edinburg, Texas. Chapel service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations in Edinburg.
Rodo's zest for life was evident through his dedication to his family, which was his greatest joy.
