Narciso Delgado Luna, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at the age of 81 in McAllen, Texas. Born on November 15, 1943, in Elsa, Texas to Consuelo Delgado and Anastasio Luna. Narciso's life was a testament to the joy and love he brought to everyone around him.
Narciso's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Sylvia Colunga Luna, and their loving children that they both shared: Olga (Ignacio), +Norma (Jaime), Anna (Hector), Joe (Karla), Araceli, Raul (Vicky), Ray (Michelle), Miguel (Connie), and Cristina (Luis). He was a proud grandfather to Richard, Alejandro, Myrna, Carla, Jaime JR., Claudia, Leeann, Hector JR., Javier, Raydasel, Vianey, Ivette, Audrey, Ivy, Evan, Ray JR., Alyssa, Emily, Jason, Jimmy, Jesse, Mark, Ronnie, Ruben, Destiny, Sherlyn, Xochitl, Quetzalli, Pedro, Dylan, and a doting great-grandfather to 30 great-grandchildren. Narciso was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Norma and son Pedro, who he now joins in eternal rest.
Narciso's life was filled with the simple pleasures; he found joy in the great outdoors, whether he was fishing, hunting, or operating heavy machinery. His love for life was infectious, and he had a knack for making those around him smile with his funny and loving nature. Narciso was a true people person, always eager to welcome friends and family into his home. His passion for cooking was well-known, and he took great delight in preparing meals for his loved ones, ensuring no one ever left his table hungry.
As we bid farewell to Narciso Delgado Luna, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit, characterized by warmth and generosity, will continue to inspire us. Though he may be gone from our sight, the memories he created will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
Narciso's life story is one of love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family. As we gather to honor his memory, we take solace in knowing that his legacy will live on through the lives of those he touched. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2025 at Rivera Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations, 1300 N. I-69C in Edinburg from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral will take place Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe church in Mission. Services will concluded after the church.
