Miguel A. Cruz

Miguel A. Cruz, age 59, entered eternal rest on March 25, 2026. He was born on June 2, 1966, to Felipe Cruz and Ludivina Tijerina. Miguel was lovingly raised by his grandparents, Claudina and Desiderio Tijerina, who played a significant role in shaping the man he became.

Miguel is survived by his devoted spouse, Nora Linda Cruz; his beloved children, Monica Lee Cruz-Garza, Miguel Angel Cruz Jr., and Noel Cruz; his cherished grandchildren, Allie McKae Cruz, Celestina Jyodi Cruz, Nitzel Cruz, Miguel Angel Garza, and Jaeana Jordan Cruz; and his mother, Ludivina Tijerina.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Claudina and Desiderio Tijerina; his father, Felipe Cruz; and his beloved grandchild, Miguel Angel Cruz III.

Miguel was a man full of life, passion, and love for his family. He found great joy in fishing, hunting, and coaching baseball, where he made a lasting impact on those he mentored. He also had a deep love for music—whether he was working as a DJ, playing the drums, or simply enjoying all kinds of music. Miguel cherished dancing with his family, hosting barbecues, and spending meaningful time with those he loved most.

He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his generosity, and the love he shared with everyone around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The Cruz family will receive friends and family on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Rivera Hillcrest Funeral Home,1300 N. I-69 C, in Edinburg from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
