Maria Elena Perez

Maria Elena Perez, 94, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 3, 2026, in Edinburg, Texas, with her loving family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ausencio Perez; her sons, Luis Almanza and Ausencio Perez Jr.; her daughter, Maria Elena Perez; her granddaughter, Alicia Nicole Perez; and her son-in-law, Daniel Sanchez.

She is survived by her children, Janie (Lupe) Garcia, Olga (Leonel) Lopez, Joey Perez (Ann Paradise), Norma (Julio) Camacho, Angelica Sanchez, Ginger (Cesar) Pastore, and Oscar Perez; her daughters-in-laws, Martha Perez and Juana Almanza; her son-in-law, Rogelio Cervantes; 22 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Rivera at Hillcrest Funeral Home,1300 N. I-69 C Frontage Rd in Edinburg.

A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. at Rivera at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Edinburg. Interment will follow at 9:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 1701 E. Richardson Road, Edinburg.
