Maria De Jesus Ramirez

Maria De Jesus Ramirez, 77, a daughter of our King, Jesus Christ, a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many, left this earth to be crowned by God in Heaven on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Maria De Jesus was born January 3, 1948, in Edcouch, TX to Santiago & Romana Hernandez. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Miguel, Domingo & Jose Hernandez and two sisters, Esmeralda Mireles (+Inocencio) of Michigan & Josefita Vallejo (Daniel) of La Villa and by her love of her life, Jose Raul Ramirez of Elsa. Maria De Jesus Ramirez is survived by her two loving children, Carlos Javier (Rita) Ramirez, Cynthia Ramirez (Valente Trevino) both of Edinburg, Texas. 4 Sisters, Juanita Rodriguez of Elsa, Maria G. Cantu (+Robert) of Elsa, Magdalena Castro (+Armando) of Mercedes and Delfina Hernandez of Edcouch. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren, Danelly Trevino, Jade Ramirez, Valente O. Trevino, Brandon Ramirez and Sebastian Trevino. Maria De Jesus, a strong woman of God, a praying warrior and a humble and caring person here on earth that knew the miraculous power of our Lord. She was unique in her approach to life, finding laughter and bringing joy to our lives and warmed the hearts of many. She had a deep love for her husband, Jose Raul, her son, Carlos Javier, her daughter, Cynthia, her daughter-in-law, Rita, her son-in-law Valente and all her grandchildren. Before her passing, she spoke of her love for them and told them she was ready to leave this earth and knew her time was near. Maria De Jesus shared with her daughter one day before her passing at 8:30p.m. that she  was ready to go be with her mother and kept asking for her then she looked in to her daughter's eyes and said to her, " I am now leaving to be with my mom", Maria also shared with her son, "I know I am going with my Lord and with the Love of my life and I am ready". Maria De Jesus was blessed with a wonderful husband of 42 years who loved and cherished her. Together in one accord, loved, cried and laughed as one, united in soul and spirit. She was truly blessed and was a blessing unto all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of family, and the beauty of a well-lived life. Maria's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will endure forever in our hearts. Until we meet again... We love you very much! 

 The visitation will be at 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m., Friday, February 7, 2025, with a 7:00p.m. Celebration of life at Rivera at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1300 I-69C, Edinburg, TX 78542. Arrangements are under the direction of Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals & Cremations of Edinburg, Texas.
