Maria Irene Reyes

Maria Irene Reyes, Her life’s journey came to a peaceful conclusion on August 7, 2025, in Edinburg, Texas, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 21, 1947, in Mexico to Juan Feliciano Reyes and Clementina Angeles.

Maria was the proud mother of Juan Manuel Mendez, Laura Mendez, Angel Mendez., Marily Arellano, Juan Gabriel Mendez, and Analy Perez, and the revered matriarch to her departed children, Ruben Mendez and Rogelio Mendez, who preceded her in eternal rest. The legacy she leaves behind is further cherished through the stories and laughter shared with her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one adored great-great-grandchild. The family tapestry she lovingly wove together continues to grow, a testament to the love she sowed in every relationship.

Visitation was held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rivera Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations ,1300 N. I-69C, in Edinburg and Monday, August 11, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:30 :PM  Funeral Service was held at 1:00 PM at La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días in Edinburg, Texas.  Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens.
