Manuel Flores, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on February 16, 1932, to parents Marcos and Marcela Flores, Manuel's life was one of dedication, joy, and love.
Manuel proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, a chapter of his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that he carried into all his endeavors. After his military service, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as gardening and fixing lawn mowers. His love for sweets was well-known, with ice cream and cookies being his particular favorites.
A lover of animals, Manuel had a special place in his heart for dogs, especially Labs, Dobermans, and German Shepherds. His evenings were often spent watching western shows and WWE Wrestling, a passion that he maintained until his last days. Manuel was also known for his love of barbecuing, beach outings, and exploring the valley. He cherished the times spent at the pulga and enjoyed the company of friends and family who would drop by for a chat.
Manuel's sense of humor was infectious, and he never missed an opportunity to be silly or crack a joke. He took great pleasure in riding his bike, rocking on the porch while counting the cars that passed by, and most importantly, taking care of his family and doting on his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Narcisa Flores, and his devoted children, Maria Eugenia Calaf (Jorge), Isreal Garcia, +Armandina Gonzalez-Parrilla (Max), Beatriz Flores (Hilary McGuire), and Alma Amor Flores. Also His sister Ninfa Flores. Manuel's legacy continues through his 15 grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Manuel was preceded in death by his parents, Marcos and Marcela Flores; his siblings, Ernesto Flores, Ernestina Balli, Francisco Flores, Alfonso Flores, Odilia Flores, Rita Garza, Onofre Flores, Elvira Salinas, Elmira Nino, Hilda Saenz, Orfelinda Gutierrez; and his daughter, Armandina Gonzalez- Parrilla.
Manuel's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and the many lives he touched. His memory will be cherished, and his stories will be told for generations to come. Manuel Flores was truly one of a kind, and his departure leaves behind a legacy of joy, resilience, and the importance of cherishing every moment.
