Katelyn Nicole Dominguez
September 5, 2002 – February 25, 2026
Katelyn Nicole Dominguez, 23, of McAllen, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2026. Born on September 5, 2002, in Houston, Texas, Katelyn was a quiet yet deeply feeling soul whose presence left a mark on those who knew her.
Katelyn was the beloved daughter of Agapito and Maida Dominguez, and a cherished sister to Kimberly Dominguez-Aguirre (husband Javier Aguirre) and Kevin Dominguez. She was a proud aunt to Alexander and Evelyn Aguirre, who brought out her playful and tender side. She is also survived by her loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Katelyn was quiet, loving, transparent, and a dreamer. She had a strong personality but beneath her serious expression was a huge empath with a deeply compassionate heart. She felt everything intensely and loved just as deeply.
She found joy in K-pop, especially Stray Kids, and loved anime and Korean dramas. She dreamed of one day traveling to Korea. She adored animals—both dogs and cats—and had a special bond with her dog, Trixie. She loved food, dancing, sarcasm, and the small moments that made her laugh. She longed for a simple but meaningful life: to be a loving wife, a stay-at-home mom, and to build a family filled with warmth.
Katelyn faced mental health challenges and often felt frustrated when life did not go as she had hoped. Yet at her core, she simply wanted to love and to be loved. She was loved. She will always be loved.
As a Christian, we find comfort in believing that Katelyn is now at peace.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” John 16:33
