Juanita Estrada Rodriguez

With profound love and remembrance, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, a longtime resident of Edinburg, whose life was marked by faith, strength, joy, and unwavering love for her family.

She was a witty, positive, and hard-working woman who truly lived life to the fullest. A migrant worker by trade, she worked tirelessly and with determination, always emphasizing the importance of education and ensuring her children understood the value of learning, perseverance, and faith. Her sacrifices laid the foundation for generations to come.

She was the mother of six children. She is survived by her three loving daughters: Maria Hilda Torres and her husband EJ Torres; Rosalinda Young and her late husband Daryl Young†; and Luz Marissa Flores; along with her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Juan Gonzalez Rodriguez, and her sons, Jose J. Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez and Juan B Rodriguez Jr

She enjoyed music and dancing, socializing, traveling to various countries, and embracing life’s experiences with enthusiasm. 

A woman of deep faith, she loved the Lord wholeheartedly. She was a long-term member of Abundant Grace, where she committed her life to the Lord and remained devoted in prayer. She was known for praying for her loved ones in times of need, often asking them to say “Amen,” leaving many comforted and strengthened by her words.

Affectionately known as “Juanita La Bonita,” she was our #1 from day one—a title she carried with pride and grace. Her legacy is one of faith, sacrifice, perseverance, joy, and unconditional love.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Rivera Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel, 1300 N. I-69 C in Edinburg.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rivera Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Texas.
