Juan Borjas Lopez, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. He was born on July 9, 1939, to Nicolas and Isabel Borjas.
Juan was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time fishing, playing pool, and enjoying a good game of bingo. He could often be found scratching lottery tickets with hope and laughter. Juan also loved dancing, cooking for family, and most importantly, reading the Bible, which was an important part of his life and faith.
Family meant everything to Juan. He is survived by his loving children: Samuel Cervantes Borjas, Juan Lara, Rebecca Cervantes Borjas, Sergio Borjas, Lourdes Borjas, Nicolas Borjas, Juan Borjas Jr., Javier Borjas, and Rogelio Borjas.
He is also survived by his siblings Maria Solis and Isabel B. Jackson.
Juan leaves behind many beloved grandchildren including Nydia Borjas, Abagail Borjas, Julian Martinez, Adrian Martinez, Johnathan Martinez, Amalia Cuevas, Jocelyn Lara, Anfernie Lara, Evan Lara, Amalia Lara, Natalie Lara, Alfredo Lara, Cynthia Lara, Samuel Lara, Elizabeth Lara, and many other grandchildren whose lives he touched.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Rosa Ortiz, Janete Ortiz, Alejandro Garcia, Abel Garcia, Aurora Garcia, Marta Garcia, Nina Garcia, Serapio Garcia, Alberto Garcia, Juan Garcia, Joe Andres Garcia, Nicolas Garcia, Rosalie Garcia, Angel Garcia, Nicolas Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Robert Ortiz, Angie Solis, Joe Solis, David Solis, Araceli Solis, Elizabeth Soto, Ana Mendoza, Juan Victor Mendoza, Jose Mendoza Mendoza, Luciano Borjas, Gerardo Borjas, Yesenia Borjas, Lilia Borjas, Selene Borjas, and many extended family members and friends.
Juan was preceded in death by his beloved son Alfredo Lara; his parents Nicolas and Isabel Borjas; his brother Gabino Borjas; his sisters Maria Tomasa Garcia and Teresa Ortiz; his nephews Tomas Garcia, Raymundo Ortiz, Rene Ortiz, and Victor Mendoza; and his niece Alicia Garcia.
Juan will be remembered for his love of family, his warm spirit, his faith, and the many memories he created with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
