Jorge "Orlee" Orlando Garcia Obituary

Jorge Orlando Garcia, affectionately known as Orlee, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2024, in Edinburg, Texas, at the age of 49. Born on February 11, 1975, in Galveston, Texas, to Serafin Garcia Jr. and the late Martha Garcia, Orlee was a cherished member of his family and community.

Orlee was a proud graduate of Eagle Pass High School's Class of 1992. His commitment to his community was evident through his dedicated service at the Office of Inspector General in Pharr, Texas, where he worked with integrity and a sense of purpose. Orlee's professional life was marked by the same passion and dedication that he brought to every aspect of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Cardoza Garcia, and his three children: Andrew, Marcus, and Martha Garcia. Orlee was a doting grandfather to Sophia, Victoria, and Alina Garcia, who brought immense joy to his life. His father, Serafin Garcia Jr., will miss his son's presence, as will the many other relatives and friends who were touched by Orlee's warmth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Garcia, and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Orlee's zest for life was contagious, and his sense of humor brought laughter to any room. He was a passionate man, whether it was cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, or engaging in lively discussions about the latest game. Above all, he was a loving family man who cherished spending time with his children, whether that was at sporting events or simply enjoying each other's company at home.

An avid fan of Tejano music, Orlee's love for the genre was more than just a hobby—it was a connection to his roots and a source of great happiness. His passion for music often served as the soundtrack for the many family gatherings and celebrations that he so loved to host.

Orlee's legacy is one of love, laughter, and dedication. He was a man who put his heart into everything he did, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of positivity and the impact one person can have on the lives of many.

As we say goodbye to Orlee, we celebrate a life lived with joy and commitment. His memory will continue to inspire us, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. The world was a brighter place with Orlee in it, and his light will continue to shine through those who loved him.

Orlee's life was a beautiful journey that touched many, and his story will be told for generations to come. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
