Joe Gomez was called home to be with the Lord and passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024 in Edinburg, Texas at the age of 43. He was born on February 16, 1981, in McAllen, Texas to Joe Damacio and Rosa Maria Gaitan-Gomez. Joe was the beloved father of daughter, Natalyne Janae Gomez and son, Joseph Gomez. He is survived by his parents, Joe Damacio, and Rosa Maria; his maternal grandmother, Socorro Gaitan; his brothers, Orlando Gaitan and Raymond Gomez, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Gomez, his paternal grandparents, Damacio and Refugia Gomez, and maternal grandfather, Atanacio Gaitan Sr.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations 1300 N I-69C Edinburg, Texas. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church 1302 E. Champion St. Edinburg, Texas. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations in Edinburg.
