Francisco M. Piñon was born on June 5, 1944 in Chihuahua, Mexico and went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2025 in Edinburg, Texas. Francisco married Frances Piñon and together they shared four children, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He worked hard for his family across plains and fields. Piñon was a pioneer that built a life in the U.S. and made friends in every state he traveled. He will be remembered by his wonderful smile, kindness, wisdom and sense of humor. He was loved by many and his heart was completely devoted to his family.
Francisco is survived by his children: Maria “Susie” Trevino, Martha Martina Castro, Juan Jose Piñon (Spouse Elizabeth Piñon), and Jaime Howard Piñon; his grandchildren Pete Edward Castro Jr., Rodolfo Trevino Jr., Amber Marie Trevino, Miguel Angel Trevino, and Jillian Francesca Piñon; and great granddaughter Maya Martina Castro. He is proceeded in death by his parents Juan Jose Piñon and Maria De Jesus Medina Piñon and his wife Frances Piñon.

Visitation will take place Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Rivera Hillcrest Funerals,1300 N. I-69C in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg.
