It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisca May Caamal, who left us on Monday, November 11,2024. Born in Yucatan, Mexico, Francisca became a proud U.S. citizen in 1994, embracing her new country with open arms and a generous spirit.

Francisca is survived by her only daughter, Anna Caamal, and her cherished grandchildren: Jessica Moreno-Phillips and her husband, Keith Phillips; Jose Angel Moreno; Jacklyn Ruiz; and Joaquin Ruiz Jr. She also leaves behind three beloved great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Abbigayle, and Aiden Phillips, who brought her immense joy.

A compassionate soul, Francisca always put the needs of others before her own. She had a deep love for animals and tended to her plants with care, finding beauty in the simple things. Her greatest joy came from spoiling her great-grandchildren, creating countless memories filled with love and laughter.

Francisca’s legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations, 1300 N. I-69C in Edinburg.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations in Edinburg.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery of Edinburg. All are welcome to join us in honoring her memory.

Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Francisca May Caamal, quien partió de este mundo el 11 de noviembre de 2024. Nacida en Yucatan, México, Francisca se convirtió en ciudadana de los Estados Unidos en 1994, abrazando su nueva vida con calidez y bondad.

Francisca es sobrevivida por su única hija, Anna Caamal, y sus queridos nietos: Jessica Moreno-Phillips y su esposo, Keith Phillips; Jose Angel Moreno; Jacklyn Ruiz; y Joaquin Ruiz Jr. También deja atrás a tres queridos bisnietos, Gabriella, Abbigayle y Aiden Phillips, quienes le trajeron una inmensa alegría.

Alma compasiva, Francisca siempre puso las necesidades de los demás por encima de las suyas. Tenía un profundo amor por los animales y le encantaban sus plantas, encontro belleza en las cosas simples. Su mayor alegría era consentir a sus bisnietos, creando innumerables recuerdos llenos de amor y risas.

El legado de amor y desinterés de Francisca vivirá en los corazones de todos los que la conocieron. La extrañaremos profundamente.

Velacion sera el miercoles 13 de noviembre en la funeraria rivera hillcrest de 5:00 pm a 9:00 pm con un servicio de oracion a las 7:00 pm.

Una celebración de su vida se llevará a cabo el jueves 14 de noviembre de 2024 a las 10:00 am. Sepelio en cementerio Hillcrest de Edinburg a las 11:00 am.
