Felix Garza

Felix "Gordo" Garza, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, at the age of 72, in  Edinburg, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 20, 1952, to Vivian Garza and Emilia Hernandez in Edinburg Texas, Felix lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his deep commitment to his family.

Felix was a devoted husband to his wife, Consuelo, together, they raised a family of strong character and compassion, instilling in their children the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness.

A proud father to his sons, Felix Jr. (married to Sarah), George, Juan, and Benjamin (married to Analila), and his daughter, Veronica (married to Gregorio) Alvarado. His legacy extends to his numerous grandchildren. Felix will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Rivera Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations, 1300 N. I-69C in Edinburg from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Edinburg. Services are under the direction of Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations of Edinburg.
