Eva Morin, the woman who spent her life proving that laughter truly is the best medicine, has taken her final bow on this stage of life. Born under the warm sun of Edinburg, Tx on March 16, 1934, she made sure her journey came full circle, as she passed away in the same charming city on
April 6, 2024 of natural causes.
Eva was the embodiment of a life well-lived and well-laughed. She never missed a beat to crack a joke, even if the joke was on her. Her wit was as sharp as her memory, which, contrary to popular belief, did not fade with age. Instead, it seemed to improve, especially when recounting the hilariously embarrassing moment of her friends and family..
She was the epitome of a friendly face, greeting everyone with a smile that could light up the darkest room. Eva was that rare kind of funny - the kind that was all-inclusive and never at the expense of others. Her laughter was infectious, her humor disarming, and her presence a loving embrace that drew people in.
To Eva, everyone was family. She never had a "plus one" because, for her, it was always "plus everyone." She was the matriarch of a community that spanned far beyond the confines of blood relations. Her legacy is a tapestry woven from countless friendships, each thread representing a life she touched with her loving nature, her funny anecdotes, and her friendly banter.
Eva’s legacy is not just in the joy she spread but in the example she set on how to navigate the world with a light heart and a kind spirit. She has left us chuckling through our tears, reming us that life, indeed, can be a comedy of the most beautiful kind.
