Ethan Michael De La Rosa, aged 18, passed away on April 21, 2025, in San Juan, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and thoughtfulness that touched everyone he met. Born on April 9, 2007, in McAllen, Texas, Ethan was a bright light in the lives of his family and friends from the very beginning.
Ethan's parents, Crystal Janet Garcia and Michael Anthony De la Rosa, cherished him deeply, as did his stepparents, Rolando Garcia and Laura De la Rosa. He was a beloved brother to Elizabeth Marie De la Rosa, Leah Elaine López, Larissa Elizabeth López, Tyler Navarro, Isabella Lazo, Alanah Garcia, Wyatt De la Rosa, Nolan Garcia, Adeline Garcia, and Alessandra Garcia. Ethan's grandparents, Jesus Gonzalez, Rebecca Gonzalez, Laura Cruz, Guillermo Garcia, and his great-grandmother, Olga Carranza, will hold the memory of their grandson close to their hearts forever.
Ethan's presence was a gift; he was known for his loving nature, his ability to find humor in every situation, and his thoughtful ways. Whether he was in the gym pushing his limits, mastering the latest video game with his friends, or honing his skills in welding class, Ethan did everything with a passion that was infectious. Beyond his many interests, he found his greatest joy in the simple moments spent with his siblings, filled with laughter and playful antics.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4p.m. to 9p.m. with a celebration of life at 7p.m. at Rivera Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations in Edinburg. Funeral and burial will take place Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
