Esther Trevino

Esther Treviño falleció pacíficamente el 29 de abril de 2025 en Edinburg, Texas, a la edad de 84 años. Esther nació el 24 de mayo de 1940 en México, hija de Luz Treviño y Tomasa Rodríguez. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, su esposo, Reymundo Treviño, y sus cuatro hermanos: René Treviño, Benito Treviño, Manuel Treviño y Francisco Treviño. Para atesorar sus recuerdos quedan sus siete hijos: Juan Reymundo (Oliva) Treviño, Rigoberto Treviño, Rosalva Jiménez, Rodolfo (Ahydee) Treviño, Rosendo (Milagros) Treviño, Roberto (Myriam) Treviño y Roxana (Luis Carlos) Matamoros, cinco hermanos: Celedonio Treviño, Leonel Treviño, María De La Luz Ramírez, Celia Vera y Daniel Treviño, sus 20 nietos: Crystal, Rigoberto Jr., Ruby, Jade, Rodolfo Jr., Roberto Jr., Emerald, Jacob, Amber, Juan Jr., Angel, Luis Carlos Jr., Diego, Marco, Russell, Diamond, Ramsés, Dante, Daisy y Solaris, y 7 bisnietos: Kevin, Lexi, Katalina, Mark Ryan, Liam, Sterling y Paislee, cada uno de ellos una nueva nota en la melodía de la eterna canción de Esther.

La vida de Esther estuvo marcada por su pasión por el canto, el baile y la cocina. Su restaurante no era solo un lugar para comer; era un refugio donde se forjaban amistades, se unían familias y se forjaban muchos recuerdos. Su risa contagiosa podía iluminar la habitación más oscura, y su cálido abrazo era un refugio para muchos.

La Señorona, DOÑA Esther Treviño a dejado su  legado estampado, no nada más en las vidas de su familia, si no en toda la ciudad de Edinburg. Una mujer que hablaba con hechos. Su nombre y palabra tenían peso en donde quiera. Con el simple hecho de mencionar su nombre...todo se arreglaba. No me dejaran mentir al decirles que se le va extrañar muchísimo, pero hai que tener claro, que como familia, tendremos que mantener su memoria viva. En una fiesta, con una canción, en un baile, o simplemente en una cena.

La Familia Treviño/Treviño les quieren dar las más sinceras gracias por asistir a esta celebración de vida de nuestra amada Esther Treviño. Por sus palabras de consuelo, su apollo y sus oraciones.

De aquí acompañaremos a  nuestra amada, Esther a la Iglesia Sagrado Corazón y a las 3 de la tarde, darle su última morada en el Pantion Hillcrest (aquí a lado).

Esther Trevino, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Edinburg, Texas, at the age of 84.  Esther was born to Luz Trevino and Tomasa Rodriguez on May 24, 1940 in Mexico. She is proceeded in death by her parents, husband, Reymundo Trevino and 4 brothers.

Left to cherish her memories are her seven children: Juan Reymundo (Oliva) Trevino, Rigoberto Trevino, Rosalva Jimenez, Rodolfo (Ahydee) Trevino, Rosendo (Milagros) Trevino, Roberto (Myriam) Trevino, and Roxana (Luis Carlos) Matamoros, five siblings: Celedonio Trevino, Leonel Trevino, Maria De La Luz Ramirez, Celia Vera, and Daniel Trevino, also surviving are her grandchildren: Crystal, Rigoberto Jr., Ruby, Jade, Rodolfo Jr., Roberto Jr., Emerald, Jacob, Amber, Juan Jr., Angel, Luis Carlos Jr., Diego, Marco, Russell, Diamond, Ramses, Dante, Daisy, and Solaris, great-grandchildren: Kevin, Lexi, Katalina, Mark Ryan, Liam, Sterling, and Paislee, each a new note in the melody of Esther's enduring song.

Esther's life was marked by her passion for singing, dancing, and cooking. Her restaurant was not just a place to dine; it was a haven where friendships were formed, families were united, and memories were made. Her infectious laughter could light up the darkest room, and her warm embrace was a refuge for many.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4p.m. to 9p.m. with a rosary at 7p.m. at Rivera Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations in Edinburg. A Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, May 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Rodolfo Trevino Jr., Rigoberto Trevino Jr., Roberto Trevino Jr., Luis Carlos Matamoros Jr., Russell Trevino and Ramses Matamoros.
