Cruz Ramos Jr., un hijo, hermano, tío y amigo muy querido, falleció en paz el 15 de abril de 2025, a la edad de 48 años, en su ciudad natal de Edinburg, Texas. La familia y los amigos se reunirán para una visita el miércoles 16 de abril de 2025 en Rivera en Hillcrest en Edinburg de 4 p.m. a 9 p.m. Un servicio de capilla se llevará a cabo el jueves 17 de abril de 2025 a la 1 p.m. en Rivera en Hillcrest en Edinburg. El entierro seguirá en Hillcrest Memorial Park. Los arreglos funerarios están bajo el cuidado de Rivera en Hillcrest.

Cruz Ramos Jr., a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, at the age of 48, in his hometown of Edinburg, Texas. Born on August 17, 1976, in Edinburg to Cruz Ramos Sr. and Romana Ramos, he was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him.

Cruz dedicated over 25 years of his life to the Edinburg School District, where he retired after a fulfilling career. His commitment to the community and the impact he made on countless lives through his work will be remembered fondly. His colleagues and the students he worked with became an extended family to him, and he cherished the bonds formed over the years.

Beyond his professional life, Cruz was known for his vibrant personality and his passion for life. An avid sport shoe collector, he took pride in his extensive collection and was always on the lookout for the latest releases. His love for shoes was more than a hobby; it was a way for him to connect with others, sharing stories and laughter over the newest trends.

Cruz's zest for life extended to his love of food and travel. He enjoyed exploring new restaurants and cuisines, often being the one to suggest a new place to dine out with family and friends. His adventurous spirit also took him to various destinations, where he immersed himself in different cultures and experiences.

Those who knew Cruz would describe him as friendly, loving, and generous. He approached life with an open heart and never hesitated to lend a hand or share a kind word. His presence was a source of comfort and happiness to many, and his absence will leave a void in the hearts of those who loved him.

Cruz's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his parents, Cruz Ramos Sr. and Romana Salinas Ramos; his brother, Carlos Ramos and sister in law Elizabeth Ramos; his nephew, Carlos Ramos Jr.; and his nieces, Cassandra and Vanessa Ramos. He also leaves behind his uncle, Rene Salinas, along with numerous family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Cruz's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact one person can have on a community. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of love, friendship, and service to others.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Rivera at Hillcrest in Edinburg from 4p.m. to 9p.m. A chapel service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 1p.m. at Rivera at Hillcrest in Edinburg. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Rivera at Hillcrest.
