Atanacio Garza Obituary

Atanacio Garza, affectionately known as "Mr. G." or "Tani" to his friends and family, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A man of deep faith and boundless integrity, Atanacio's generosity of spirit was evident in every aspect of his life. He was a devoted father, a cherished sibling, a doting grandfather, and a great-grandfather who valued God, family, and community above all else.

Atanacio is survived by his loving children, Cynthia Garza, Atanacio Garza Jr. (Susana), Amanda Garza Flores (David)  and Robert Ramon (Dolly) He was a proud grandfather to Jeremías Garza (Brianna), Jacob Garza (Beth), Derek Flores (Mayra), Darren Flores, Devin Flores, Sydney Ibanez (David), and Madison Ramon. His joy was further multiplied by the arrival of his great-grandson, Roman Santiago Garza, and great-granddaughter, DeLainey Flores. Atanacio also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Arturo Garza, Demetrio Garza, Zulema Garza, Diana Garza, Mario Garza, Sergio Garza, Rodolfo Garza, and Belinda Garza Vásquez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aurora Mary Garza, his parents, Demetrio Garza and Refugia Esparza Garza, and his granddaughter, Iisha Garza Davila.

Atanacio was a renaissance man whose interests and skills were as vast as the Texas sky he so loved to soar beneath as a pilot. Whether he was racing cars, fishing, hunting, or engaging in any of his myriad hobbies, he did so with a zest for life that was contagious. His talents were many; he was a skilled welder, a resourceful carpenter, a meticulous mechanic, a creative painter, a visionary builder, and a compassionate medic. His life in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was not just a career but a calling, where he served his community with dedication and a gentle hand.

Above all, Atanacio's passion was his family and his life in EMS. He gave back freely with his time, resources, and talents, quietly improving the lives of others without ever seeking recognition. His legacy is one of love, service, and the quiet strength that he brought to everything he did.

Atanacio Garza's life was a testament to the power of giving and the impact one person can have on so many. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched and the community he helped build. Rest in peace, Mr. G., your flight has landed in the embrace of eternity.
