Araceli Garcia Obituary

Araceli "Sally" Garcia, a beacon of love and faith, passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 54, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on April 25, 1969, in Edinburg, Texas, Sally's life was a tapestry of devotion to her family, her passions, and her unwavering faith.

Sally's early years in Edinburg were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of small-town life. Her life's journey led her to Mission, Texas, where she spent her final days surrounded by the love and care of her family and close friends. Sally's life was a testament to the love she had for her family and the strength of her spirit.

Sally is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Manuel Garcia, with whom she built a life filled with laughter, support, and mutual respect. Their partnership was blessed with four children who were the pride and joy of Sally's life: Alexandria Serna, her oldest daughter married to Joe Serna; Emmanuel, Esai, and Areli Garcia. Sally's legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Tres, Aria, and Andrea, who were the light of her life.

She was a loving sister to Robert Ramirez, Gerardo Ramirez, Anna Beltran, Ronnie Quiroz, Angie Ramirez, and Sonia Ramirez. Sally was predeceased by her parents, Roberto and Yolanda Ramirez, and her stillborn daughter. Her memory will live on through her eighteen nieces and nephews, who will miss her guidance and gentle presence.

She was also blessed with an excess of friends, which she met throughout her life. These adored friends that became family will carry her friendship with them always and reminisce in the beautiful memories they shared together.

Sally's interests were a reflection of her nurturing soul. She found joy in baking and cooking, often experimenting with recipes she discovered while watching the Food Network. Her culinary creations were not only a feast for the senses but also an expression of her love for those she cared for. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandkids, creating memories that they will hold dear forever.

Described as faith-filled, loving, and thoughtful, Sally lived her life as a testament to these virtues. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and inspiring those around her. Her loving nature was evident in her every action, from the way she raised her children to the comfort she provided for friends. Sally's thoughtfulness could be seen in the small details, the way she always baked treats for everyone, or the quiet way she would offer support without expecting anything in return.

Sally's departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her. Yet, her spirit remains a guiding light, a reminder of the power of faith, the beauty of love, and the importance of family. As we bid farewell to Araceli "Sally" Garcia, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, a life that touched many, and a life that will continue to inspire for generations to come.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Let us honor her memory by living as she did—with love, with compassion, and with a faith that can move mountains. Sally's journey on earth has concluded, but her influence remains, a timeless reminder that the most extraordinary lives are often the ones lived with simple, unwavering love.

Rest in peace, Sally. Your light shines on
