Antonia Cantu, a beacon of joy and laughter, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, in Mission, Texas, at the age of 92. Born on June 13, 1932, Antonia's life was a vibrant journey filled with dance, laughter, and an abundance of love.
Antonia's spirit was characterized by her love for dance, a passion that brought light and energy to every room she entered. Her laughter was infectious, and her spirited nature made her a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. Antonia's legacy is one of love and humor, traits that she generously shared with her family and friends.
Though she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Sylvia Sequra, her parents, and all her siblings, Antonia's memory will be carried on through her surviving children: Adela Bustos, Rosie Cedillo, Guadalupe Cantu, Leticia Bustos, Alonso Cantu, Jr., and Jaime Cantu. Her love will also live on through her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Antonia's family was the cornerstone of her world, and she was the heart of theirs. Her loving nature was the glue that held them together, and her funny and spirited personality was the light that guided them through life's ups and downs. Antonia's unwavering love and her ability to find humor in every situation taught her family the value of cherishing each moment.
As we bid farewell to Antonia Cantu, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of passion, laughter, and love. Her spirit will continue to dance in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be treasured forever.
