Albino Roel Canales Obituary

Albino Roel Canales, affectionately known as Binny to his loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024, in Edinburg, Texas. Born on November 10, 1959, in San Diego, Texas, Binny was a man of passion, thoughtfulness, and love, characteristics that touched the hearts of all who knew him. His passing leaves behind a legacy of warmth and devotion, both to his family and to the many lives he impacted through his work and community involvement.

Binny is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. His legacy continues through his son, Roman, daughter-in-law A'Pearl, and their children Rowan, A'Jade, and Rylan, who will miss their grandfather's playful spirit and guiding wisdom. His daughter Katelyn will fondly remember her father's unwavering support and encouragement. Binny was a brother to Ramiro and his wife Lulu, Kelly and his wife Rita, Rudy and his late wife Irma, the late Ricardo and his wife Licha, Arnoldo, Gerry and her husband Arturo, and Raul and his wife Consuelo. He was a son to the late Aurelia and Rodolfo Canales. Each family member brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Binny's educational journey led him to the University of Texas A&I in Kingsville, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology. This education laid the foundation for a distinguished career with the state of Texas, where he dedicated over 30 years of service. Starting as a case worker, Binny's commitment and hard work saw him rise to the position of contract manager. His colleagues will remember him as a mentor who led by example, always striving to make a difference in the lives of those he served.

Beyond his professional life, Binny's interests were as diverse as they were engaging. He was the life of the party at family gatherings, where he would host weekend BBQs that were the highlight of everyone's week. His critiques during family karaoke nights were delivered with humor and affection, often leading to bouts of laughter and joyous singing. Binny's love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for traveling, camping, fishing, and hunting. He shared these passions with his family, creating lasting memories under the open sky.

An avid fan of the mysteries of the universe, Binny found solace in paranormal hunting and gazing at the stars, indulging in his fascination with astronomy. These pursuits not only satisfied his curious mind but also brought a sense of adventure to his life and to those he included in his explorations.

Binny's absence will be profoundly felt, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire his family and friends. He was a man who embraced life with open arms, and his influence will remain in the lives of those he touched. Binny's passion for life, his thoughtfulness in his relationships, and his loving nature are the hallmarks of his memory.

As we bid farewell to Albino Roel Canales, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a journey marked by love, laughter, and a deep commitment to family and community. Binny's story does not end here, for he lives on in the hearts of the many he loved and the countless lives he enriched. May he rest in peace, knowing that his was a life well-lived, full of purpose and brimming with love.
