Adalberto Perez, a loving and generous soul, passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on January 21, 1949, in Edinburg, TX, Adalberto was a man of faith who dedicated his life to his family, his work, and his passions.
Preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Lopez and Juan Perez, Adalberto's legacy continues through his beloved wife, Maria Del Socorro Perez, and his cherished children, Monica Gonzalez and Gabriel Perez. He was a pillar of strength and love for his family, and his guidance will be deeply missed. Adalberto's memory will also be treasured by his siblings, Irene Fancher, Felix Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Alfonso Rodriguez, and Baldemar Rodriguez, who shared countless moments of joy and camaraderie with him throughout the years.
Adalberto's life was further enriched by the laughter and wonder of his grandchildren, Isak Gonzalez, Iden Gonzalez, Ella R. Gonzalez, Corey Perez, and Ethan Perez. He found immense joy in creating memories with them and imparting wisdom in the most subtle and enduring ways. His presence in their lives shaped them in profound ways, and his influence will continue to guide them as they grow.
A man of many talents, Adalberto had an innate ability to work with his hands. He loved to tinker with small engines, cars, and anything mechanical. His garage was a haven of creativity and problem-solving, a place where he could lose himself in his work and emerge with a sense of accomplishment that was evident to all who knew him.
Adalberto's faith-filled life was a testament to his character. He walked through life with a quiet confidence and a heart that was always open to giving. Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2025 at Rivera Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations, 1300 N. I-69C in Edinburg from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Services are under the direction of Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremations of Edinburg.
