Abelardo O. Diaz Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Abelardo O. Diaz Jr., who left us on February 5, 2026, in Mission, Texas. Born on December 23, 1934, in Pulupandan, Abelardo lived a life filled with love, dedication, and passion.

Abelardo is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Diaz; his children, Dennis Diaz, Edward Diaz, and Michael Diaz; and his cherished grandchildren, Hannah Diaz, Delynne Diaz, Ana Victoria Diaz, and Mark Raphael Diaz. His family was the center of his world, and he devoted himself to their happiness and well-being.

A man of interests and hobbies, Abelardo enjoyed watching wrestling and basketball, often sharing those moments of excitement and camaraderie with family and friends.

He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of love, family, and passion for life will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11,2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rivera at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation with a Rosary at 7:00 PM
Burial will take place Thursday, February 12,2026 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg, Teas
